Freedom of Information Requests.

In preparation for imminent legal action against Greenacre School, we are rapidly gathering evidence to support our application for a civil injunction. This process involves submitting Freedom of Information (FOI) requests to various entities within Greenacre School and the Special Provisions Partnership.

This time-consuming but necessary action is a direct result of Greenacre’s continued obstruction of my lawful parental safeguarding rights to investigate injuries sustained by my child at this ‘special needs’ school.

Additionally, Greenacre has attempted to discredit me personally, likely in an effort to deflect attention from its own failings. Full details of these actions will be provided on this platform.

Of particular concern is Greenacre’s refusal to release a safeguarding report conducted by the Academy Trust’s own safeguarding lead, Kate Gaunt. Their secrecy raises serious questions, and these FOI requests are part of the effort to uncover the truth.

All FOI requests will be published here to ensure full transparency.

The recipients are legally required to respond within 20 working days.

If any FOI request is ignored or answered dishonestly, it will be escalated immediately.

We will pursue all necessary legal and regulatory actions to ensure no more self-preservation at the expense of the children and their families by Greenacre School.

FOI: Sent to Wellspring Academy Trust: 01/02/2025

Dear Data Protection & FOI Officer,
I am submitting a Freedom of Information (FOI) request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 for the following information regarding Greenacre School and Wellspring Academy Trust.
Complaints Against Greenacre School & Wellspring Trust:
The total number of formal complaints made by parents against Greenacre School from 1st January 2020 to 1st January 2025.
The number of complaints that were dismissed without investigation OR ruled ‘not upheld’ by the school’s internal complaints process.
The number of complaints in which the school ruled in favour of itself (i.e., against the parent/complainant).
Copies of any investigative reports or findings from external bodies regarding complaints made against the school.
Any sanctions, warnings, or official interventions issued against Greenacre School or Wellspring Academy Trust by external regulatory bodies (Ofsted, DfE, ESFA, etc.).

Legal Obligation to Respond:
Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, you are legally required to respond to this request within 20 working days.
If any part of this request is refused, you must provide a clear legal justification for each refusal.
If this request is not met in full, I will escalate the matter to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) for non-compliance.
I expect full disclosure of this information in accordance with the law. Please confirm receipt of this request and provide the expected timeline for completion.
Yours sincerely,
Mr *********

I am making this particular request to obtain information that may support our application for an injunction to ensure Greenacre School operates within the law and ceases its misuse of the Social Care referral system. An injunction application has a greater chance of success if the outrageous and unlawful actions inflicted upon us, and others, are shown to be widespread.
We will also be using our platform and the local press to publicly request that other parents who have suffered at the hands of Greenacre School, which I strongly believe is highly probable , step forward and provide witness statements to further strengthen our case.
Additionally, we need to ascertain whether the internal complaints system is honest and fair, especially given the outrageous handling of our complaint regarding the use of flour, which is now being referred to outside agencies.
The 2020 - 2025 date range is necessary to enable us to quantify the volume of complaints and assess whether they have been fairly handled by your Trust.
All of our FOI requests serve a specific and justified purpose, which we now feel obligated to complete.

FOI: Sent to Laura Flynn Head of School: 01/02/2025

Dear Head of School Laura Flynn,
I am submitting a Freedom of Information (FOI) request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 regarding Greenacre School’s handling of a safeguarding matter on 20/02/2024, the decision to keep the Kate Gaunt report confidential, and the refusal to allow parental engagement with classroom staff.

Justification for Social Care Referral (20/02/2024 Incident)
What was the exact basis for Greenacre School’s decision to refer my child’s bruise to Social Care on 20/02/2024 instead of first discussing the concern with me, the parent?
What evidence or rationale did the school provide to Social Care regarding this referral?
Did the school document an internal safeguarding discussion before escalating the issue? If so, I request copies of any internal meeting notes, safeguarding logs, or written communications regarding this incident.

Refusal to Allow Parental Investigation & Discussion:
Why did Rebecca Royston & Tania Rushforth refuse to discuss the bruise on my child’s arm with me when asked?
On what legal or policy basis did they state that parents are not entitled to discuss injuries with the school’s pastoral team?
Why was I denied access to speak to classroom assistants who were present on the day of the incident, with the claim that "privacy" and "union rules" prevented them from staying behind for a few minutes?
Can you provide documented evidence that such privacy or union rules exist, preventing staff from discussing safeguarding concerns with parents?

Release of the Kate Gaunt Report:
On what basis was the Kate Gaunt report deemed confidential?
Under what legal or regulatory framework was the decision made to withhold the report from affected parents?
If the report identified safeguarding concerns or procedural failures, why was transparency not prioritised?
Please provide a full and unredacted copy of the Kate Gaunt report under this FOI request.

Request to Speak with Classroom Staff (20/02/2024 Incident)
I formally request to speak with the classroom staff who were supervising Penelope on 20/02/2024 to gain a better understanding of the events that led to the social care referral.
Given that I am the parent of the child in question, what legal basis does Greenacre School have for preventing direct communication with these staff members?
If staff members hold additional information about pastoral referrals that have been poorly handled, will Greenacre School allow them to disclose this, or will they be instructed to remain silent?

Legal Obligation to Respond:
Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, you are legally required to respond to this request within 20 working days.
If any part of this request is refused, you must provide a clear legal justification for each refusal.
If this request is not met in full, I will escalate the matter to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) for non-compliance.
I expect full disclosure of this information in accordance with the law. Please confirm receipt of this request and provide the expected timeline for completion.
Yours sincerely,

PS: This FOI request would not have been necessary had Greenacre School cooperated with me in the first instance when I attempted to fulfil my parental safeguarding duties. Instead, your colleagues in the Special Provisions Partnership deliberately obstructed my legal entitlement to investigate the events of 20/02/2024.
When a school goes to such great lengths to prevent a parent from safeguarding their own child, it raises serious concerns about what they may be trying to hide.
Furthermore, any response to this FOI may be used as supporting evidence in our application for an injunction to compel Greenacre/Wellspring to operate within the law and adhere to its own policies.
Additionally, please note that Lucy Connor has sent multiple emails with direct questions to which she has received no response. This continued lack of transparency only strengthens the case for external intervention.
